Over two weeks in January 2025, our team has been hard at work at the Dry Dock in Renmark, completing an extensive renovation that marks one of the most ambitious upgrades in our history.
This project required significant planning, and despite the challenging conditions (with temperatures consistently exceeding 38 degrees) our dedicated tradesmen worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.

Our dining area has been completely redesigned with new furniture, a sophisticated bar, ambient lighting, fresh carpeting, and extensive cabinetry. These upgrades create a more inviting and luxurious atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy their meals.

Every cabin now boasts a brand-new ensuite, featuring modern walls, elegant mirrors, upgraded lighting, and stylish tapware. These enhancements elevate the onboard experience, ensuring that guests enjoy the ultimate in comfort and convenience.
Engine Replacement for Improved Performance
Reliability and performance are at the heart of our operations. One of the Proud Mary's engines has been replaced, ensuring a smoother, more powerful journey for the season ahead.
Refurbished Public Toilets with a Smart Addition
Like our cabin ensuites, the public toilets have undergone a complete refurbishment to the same high standard. Additionally, we've installed discreetly mounted bug zappers to help minimize unwanted visitors and maintain a cleaner, more comfortable space.
Whisper-Quiet Generator for a Peaceful Journey
A brand-new, whisper-quiet generator has been installed to improve onboard noise levels and enhance energy efficiency. Guests can now enjoy the calm surroundings of the Murray River without any disruptive background noise.
Complete Hull Refurbishment & Vessel Repainting
The hull has been completely refurbished, with all decks & balustrades have been freshly repainted. These improvements not only enhance durability but also give the Proud Mary a untouched new look, sparkling the high standards we maintain.
Additional Maintenance & Upgrades
Several essential maintenance tasks were also completed, including:
- Installation of new prop shafts and rudder shaft repair
- Gunnel repairs and rubber installation
- Steel replacements for rusted sections of the hull
- Installation of stainless steel in galley walls
- New cool room fridge compressor
- Fabrication and installation of heavy-duty external storage doors
